Libby is our new e-reading platform that complements the Cloud Library. Read ebooks on almost any device with the Libby app- including your smartphone, tablet, or Kindle device; or, access ebooks on the web from your computer or laptop.

If you do not have an ereader device, the library has a small selection of Nook eReaders available for loan. Contact the library for more information.  

There are hundreds of books to choose from - new ebook titles purchased by your library plus a rotating collection of complimentary ebook and eaudiobook titles. Explore the collection through catalog guides, subjects, featured titles, and curated lists. 

Scarborough Public Library patrons can borrow up to three ebooks at a time via Libby. Choose a loan period up to three weeks, with the possibility of a three-week renewal if the item is not on hold for another patron. Users can also have up to five books on hold at any given time.  

 

You may also use the Cloud Library, a statewide collection of ebooks and eaudiobooks.

The Scarborough Public Library's Libby collection is accessible only to Scarborough Public Library cardholders. Click here for information on obtaining a Scarborough library card.

Next Steps:

The first time you visit the website or open the app you'll be promted to "Search For A Library." Select "Scarborough Public Library" and then select "Sign In With My Card." When prompted, enter your fourteen-digit barcode number.
