I wear a lot of hats at Scarborough Public Library. I'm usually found behind the scenes doing admin tasks, coordinating volunteers, helping with book processing/repairs, managing the Seed Library, and making sure SPL's various recycling efforts are going smoothly. In addition to all of this, I also have the pleasure of coordinating our seasonal window display!
I come from a family of passionate library supporters: my aunt was the children's librarian at Bangor Public Library and my mom taught drama at Deering High School, often bringing her students to local libraries to perform short plays for kids. I've previously worked in college and university libraries, where I supervised student employees in place of community volunteers. Years ago, I started my MLIS degree—being at Scarborough has inspired me to go back to school and complete it.
