The Wentworth School Cafe was a terrific spot for our Summer Reading kick off concert with KindKids Music! Audience members had a chance to register for the Summer Reading Program and to read to one of three therapy dogs this summer.
Sign up for summer reading! Come to the library anytime and complete a brief registration form. Each participant (infant through middle school) receives a reading log and a bingo sheet of activities. We have bookmarks, tattoos, and stickers, too. Kids can record anything they read or listen to however they wish: minutes, pages, chapters, books. We just want kids to read what they like and learn to love reading! Each time you visit the library, have the children bring their logs for stickers, stamps, and to put their name on the readers' board. We will have activities in the room throughout the summer, including a scavenger hunt, decoding a message in a bottle, and others. You can also register your readers to spend 15 min. reading to a dog at the library. We will have pop up story times throughout the summer so be sure to ask about those and keep an eye on social media. There are Oceans of Possibilities to discover this summer!
