If you love to put things in order, keep objects and spaces in good condition, or are an avid crafter with time to spare, you might enjoy volunteering at the library! Our volunteers help with shelf reading, dusting, locating missing or damaged books, preparing bulk mailings, and other tasks as needed.
We have two types of volunteers:
- Regular - come in once a week for 1-2 hours.
- As-needed - notified when support for a task or event is needed.
For more information, contact our volunteer coordinator:

Other ways to support the library:
- Join Friends of Scarborough Library.
- Keep an eye out for vacancies with the Scarborough Public Library's Board of Trustees.
- We partner with the Scarborough Garden Club to maintain our flowerbeds.
Thank you for considering volunteering with us!
