I love libraries and gardening, so I am lucky enough to work part time at the Scarborough Public Library indoors as a page, and outdoors as a caretaker of the flower garden. I also love teaching, and work part time as an educational technician in the Scarborough Public Schools.
What I love about libraries are all of the choices and the potential to learn so many things. I am particularly fond of reading nonfiction. Some of my favorite authors are Michael Pollan, John McPhee and Annie Dillard. I also enjoy reading the library’s wonderful nonfiction section for children. In that way, I can read about many topics and decide what I may want to pursue more deeply in the adult section. In the children’s fiction section, some of my favorite authors are Beverly Cleary, E.B. White, and Judy Blume.
