Libraries play an instrumental role aiding individuals to expand their knowledge and literacy. For me, its one of the first places to visit in a new area because not only can you borrow books, tapes, DVDs and periodicals, you can also listen to authors, poets and speakers who help engage the community with a wide array of new information and add to our base of knowledge. At any given day you can walk into a library, peruse the rows of books pull out a book and open the page to learn something new for free!
