We'll have two showings of this year's Oscar winner for Best Picture, the first on Monday, April 1 and an encore presentation on Friday, April 5.
Mahershala Ali won his second Academy Award portraying a black world-class pianist who hires a white bouncer (Viggo Mortensen) to drive him around the segreated South for his concert tour. The two consult "The Green Book" to guide them to the few establishments that were then safe for African-Americans to patronize in 1962. Confronted with racism, danger as well as unexpected humanity and humor, they are forced to set aside differences to survive and thrive on the journey of a lifetime. Rated PG-13; 130 minutes.
