The New Commons Project - a program of the University of Maine Farmington and Maine Humanities Council - is an art, literature, and idea commons that brings people together through humanities programming. In 2018, we were honored to host the first community conversation on the acclaimed HBO series, The Wire—a work nominated by a member of our Library community. The project is looking for new submissions for its next series cycle. Do you have a work you’d like to nominate? Members of the Commons team will be here from 5pm to 7:30pm to hear your ideas and help you with your nomination. It can be a book, movie, series, song, or painting you think is important. The work you nominate can be anything from Paradise Lost to a comic strip, from Stravinsky to Beyoncé. Expand your imagination and make a nomination!
