The Genealogy Group is taking a break until September. Roots. Branches. Shoots. You may think we’re talking about trees – and in a way, we are. We’re talking about family trees! Whether you are just starting to explore your heritage or well into the process, our new monthly Scarborough Public Library Genealogy Group will introduce you to a range of vetted resources for ancestral research. Drop in…it’s FREE to attend!
The group will be facilitated by Don Taylor, a retired Information Technology Security Specialist who became interested in Genealogy in the 1970s. Since 2005, Don has focused on genealogical research, specializing in Internet research and genetic genealogy. He is a member of the Maine Genealogical Society (MGS), New England Historic Genealogical Society, and is on the Board of Directors of the Scarborough Historical Society (SHS) where he helps others research their Scarborough roots. Don also manages a personal genealogy blog.
When: 4th Monday of the Month from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. The group will not meet in July or August.
