Practice Coding With Minecraft

Want to practice your coding skills while having fun with Minecraft?  This summer the library will be offering coding for Grades 4 thru 8 on two Friday afternoons, July 26th and August 2, 2019.  We'll work together to try and create a plugin for our Minecraft server by doing real-world coding. Maybe we'll succeed, maybe we won't, and we'll probably run out of time, but we'll have fun trying! We recommend attending both Fridays since we'll be working on the same project both days.  You can bring your own Minecraft account or use one from us while at the library!

Register here.  (Limited to 12 participants.)

When: Friday, July 26th and August 2nd, 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Where: Library Meeting Room

Come join us for our first day of coding using Minecraft.  If you've had a little coding experience and like Minecraft, this activity may be for you.  We'll be pushing our limits by trying to code an actual plug-in for our Minecraft server. While some of this might be over our heads (including the librarian's!), the goal here is to work together to do some real coding, even if we ultimately fail or run out of time.
