We're excited to be partnering once again with Rachel McDonnell, Alayna Hebert, and Chrystine Muncherian to host another Girls Who Code Club at the Library on Thursday afternoons, starting September 12 and ending December 19. Girls Who Code Clubs are free after-school programs for girls (in this case, Grades 6-8) to join a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models to use computer science to change the world.

The engaging curriculum focuses on a Girls Who Code Project where girls work in teams to solve a real world problem they care about through code. To participate, send an email to gwcscarborough [at] gmail.com, and Rachel, Alayna, or Chrystine will provide information on how to register through the Girls Who Code platform. The first gathering is almost here, so don't delay!

When: Thursdays, 3:30 to 4:30pm
Where: Library Meeting Room

Minecraft @ The Library

With the help of our teen development team, the library has built its own dedicated Minecraft server!  Come and explore these Minecraft worlds every fouth Sunday for Miner Day.

Don't have a Minecraft account?  No problem.  We'll provide you with one while at the library -- either on the Miner Days or everyday at our Mac computers in the Youth Services Area.  Note: Parents must remain in the Library if child is under 10 yrs. old.
