  2. Coding with Robots
    • Calendar: Scarborough Public Library Youth Services
    • Start time: 10:30am
    • The library has brought in some fun robots to help introduce simple robotics and coding to our younger patrons. This summer the library's Systems Librarian, Tom Corbett, will offer a four-week coding class for grades 1-6 starting on June 30th. Graduates wanting to continue their "robot studies" can then join one of our library teams and participate in a national robot coding competition this Fall.   3. R.E.A.D. Therapy Dogs

    • Many of you know Gracie—a special therapy dog who has visited us many times with her owner, Pat Touri. She will be joined by Emmie and her owner Mindy Beller to offer children who are reluctant readers with a powerful way to improve their reading skills: reading to the dogs in a private, cozy nook we’ll be creating just for them.   4. Code With Minecraft

    • Want to learn how to code while having fun with Minecraft? This summer the library will be offering a four-week coding class for Grades 5 to 8 on Friday afternoons, June 30 thru July 21.
