New! Library Genealogy Group

genealogy group, ancestry, research help

Join us for our monthly Scarborough Public Library Genealogy Group, offered the fourth Monday of each month from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Whether you are just starting to explore your heritage or well into the process, this “drop in” gathering will introduce you to vetted resources for ancestral research. Don Taylor will be the group's facilitator, bringing a wealth of experience in Internet research and genetic genealogy. He is a member of the Maine Genealogical Society (MGS), New England Historic Genealogical Society, and is on the Board of Directors of the Scarborough Historical Society (SHS) where he helps others research their Scarborough roots. Don also manages a personal genealogy blog.

Join us and start exploring your family tree; it’s free to attend! FMI, contact Adult Reference at 883-4723 option 4, or email askSPL [at] scarboroughlibrary.org.
