Fines will be waived for the period the library was closed. Fines will also be waived for the month of June. Fines accrued prior to our closure (March 15) will remain on your account. Fines will resume on July 1.
The Library will reopen for limited browsing on Monday, July 13. A Scarborough Public Library card will be required to borrow materials. Public computer access, by appointment only, will continue to be available. To schedule an appointment, contact Tom Corbett, Systems Librarian, tcorbett [at] scarboroughlibrary.org or 207-396-6271. Curbside Pickup will also continue to be available once the Library reopens.
Reciprocal borrowing (patrons using their card at another library) has been suspended statewide. This decision was made by the State Library to help protect patrons and library workers from the spread of coronavirus. This will also allow libraries to better serve their local communities as libraries gradually reopen.
