Minecraft Miner Day

Minecraft Miner Day, Scarborough Public Library

Libraries across the country are using Minecraft to introduce technology literacy to kiddos in their communities. Explore the Library’s Minecraft world created by our volunteer “tech teens!” We’ll begin with a session just for beginners at 1:00 PM, then everyone can join in starting at 2:00 PM. If you’ve created your own Minecraft world, bring it along to show others on our big screen! Computers will be available, or you can bring your own laptop. No sign up is needed—just drop in!

Enzo was born to be a race car driver. There's just one problem: He's a golden retriever. He can still watch, though. Through Enzo's eyes, we learn about the life of his owner, race car driver Denny Swift. Watch Denny experience love, heartache, and more through the eyes of his loyal dog. Conditions aren't always ideal for Denny and Enzo. Sometimes, the path forward is dark and difficult. In order to get through it, the two must learn from each other the difficult art of racing in the rain.

In his recent book, The Return of the Moguls: How Jeff Bezos and John Henry Are Remaking Newspapers for the Twenty-First Century, Dan Kennedy explores how the iron core of accountability journalism might be preserved.
