Minecraft Miner Day

So sorry...the February Minecraft Miner Day is cancelled. Join us March 25! Offered every 4th Sunday of the month! Explore the Library’s Minecraft world created by our volunteer “tech teens!” We’ll begin with a session just for beginners at 1:00 PM, then everyone can join in starting at 2:00 PM. If you’ve created your own Minecraft world, bring it along to show others on our big screen!

Join us for our monthly Scarborough Public Library Genealogy Group. Whether you are just starting to explore your heritage or well into the process, this “drop in” gathering will introduce you to vetted resources for ancestral research.

Sketching Group, monthly drop-in, 2nd Friday,

Every 2nd Friday of the mongh from 10am to Noon starting March 9! Noodling. Doodling. Dabbling. If a program description includes these words, you can be sure it will be relaxed and fun. Leave inhibitions behind and create free-form drawings, journal entries, small cards, or tiny books using simple items like a drawing pencil or roller ball pen and a notepad or journal.

The Library will be filled with demonstrations and hands-on activities FOR ALL AGES presented by talented artisans from around Maine. Many of the original works and kits on display will be available for purchase as well! This event is free to attend. Gather family and friends and join in the fun!

Join us as Wendy Brown, a Maine certified teacher, former public school educator, and registered homeschooler in Maine since 2003, provides a basic overview of what is involved to homeschool in Maine. Included will be a focus on the legal requirements; a general overview of homeschooling types; finding community with other homeschool families; community resources and more!

Should my homeschooled student take the GED? Can my homeschooled student get into college?
