The Library's Retro Summer Series commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, Apollo 11 moon landing, and Woodstock festival. Join us for the screening of the newly released documentary Apollo 11. Be a witness to never-before-seen footage of the July 16, 1969 mission that placed the first man on the moon. This is not a narrated documentary, but rather a historical archive that will provide viewers with a "virtual seat" beside commander Neil Armstrong and pilots Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins and Mission Control. This documentary is an excellent companion to the Chasing the Moon series being offered on PBS. The event is free to attend and open to the public. Seating is limited.
