More February stay-cation fun - for Ages 5 to 10! Scarborough Land Trust Stewardship Director, Hannah Chamberlain, will present a story time about animals in winter, followed by a “Make Your Own Animal Tracks Field Guide” activity. Mrs. C is creating one-of-a-kind hand-bound journals, and Hannah is making a variety of animal footprint stamps to create your personal journal.

For Grades 6-8. Stay-cation destination events continue! What are “zines?” (Hint: The word is an abbreviation of “magazine.”) Join artist Nina Sophia Swart to create your own zine on anything you’re passionate about and want to share. These special February stay-cation Dungeons & Dragons events are a great way to learn more about this game made popular in the '70's and '80's. Join fellow adventurers to explore magical worlds, take on challenges, and become heroes! Minecraft Miner Day

Minecraft Miner Day, Scarborough Public Library

Offered every 4th Sunday of the month! Explore the Library’s Minecraft world created by our volunteer “tech teens!” We’ll begin with a session just for beginners at 1:00 PM, then everyone can join in starting at 2:00 PM. If you’ve created your own Minecraft world, bring it along to show others on our big screen! Computers will be available, or you can bring your own laptop. No sign up is needed—just drop in!

Come to the library for an informative session on Minecraft targeted to parents of 3rd through 5th graders.  Tom Corbett, our Systems Librarian, will discuss the pros and cons of playing Minecraft, highlight our library's Minecraft services, and offer suggestions on how parents can manage a child's access to the game using their home router or an attached home networking management device like Disney's Circle.
