Crash Course in Digital Downloads

Crash Course, Digital Downloads, Kanopy, Flipster, CloudLibrary, Scarborough Public Library

Usage of the Library’s digital resources spiked during the Library’s Covid closure and remains high even after our reopening. If you haven’t tried these resources yet, Library Card Sign-up Month is the perfect time to discover the perks your card provides. This online presentation will highlight the cloudLibrary e-books and e-audiobooks, Kanopy video streaming, and Flipster digital magazines.

There's no better time to learn how to stream great movies for FREE using Kanopy, to discover how to look for “step-by-step” instructions on how to download popular magazines (also for FREE) using Flipster, or access FREE eBooks and eAudiobooks. We are happy to provide some direction on how to set up the cloudLibrary app on your device!

This Crash Course in Digital Downloads will focus on these terrific services you can access using your Scarborough Public Library card. To receive the Zoom link or for more information, contact Catherine Morrison at cmorrison [at] or call 396-6270.

Join Wendy Brown, a former teacher who began homeschooling her own children in 2003. Whether you are guiding children through remote learning or homeschooling, this virtual discussion of tried and true strategies can help. While balancing her children’s learning goals and needs with the demands of her own job, Wendy discovered that many of the same concerns and questions are raised by homeschoolers and by the general public. Come kick off the 2020-2021 academic year virtually with other local parents and benefit from Wendy’s almost two decades of experience scheduling, coordinating, and scaffolding her children’s learning. Questions welcome! Request the Zoom link by emailing ljnorvell [at] (Lucy Norvell), Coordinator of Programming and Communications.
