July Pajamarama: Jellyfish

Pajamarama, story time, crafts, PJs,

For Ages 4 and up with an adult. Children are invited to wear their coziest pajamas and bring their favorite thing to cuddle for this special story and craft time presented by Sarah. This month’s theme is The Beach. After stories and songs, everyone will make a jellyfish windchime to take home. Teen Movie Night, Bandslam!

Movie Night: Grades 6 and up. Ultra-popular Charlotte is determined to face-off against her ex at the country's biggest music competition. She just needs a band. Newcomer Will knows more about musicians than anyone. He just needs a friend. And rebel guitar player Sa5m has a wicked voice but needs someone to believe in her. Together, this unlikely trio will take on Bandslam in a way no one thought possible. Popcorn and beverages provided!

Morning Book Discussion - Life in a Jar

Life in a Jar book cover

During World War II, Irena Sendler, a Polish Catholic social worker, organized a rescue network of fellow social workers to save 2,500 Jewish children from certain death in the Warsaw ghetto. Incredibly, after the war her heroism, like that of many others, was suppressed by communist Poland and remained virtually unknown for 60 years. Then, a group of Kansas teenagers turned it into a history project and  play called Life in a Jar.
