Special Read ME event with award-winning author, Susan Conley! Read ME is a statewide summer reading program of the Maine Humanities Council and Maine State Library that gets Maine’s adults all reading the same books...written by Maine authors and recommended by a Maine author—Tess Gerritsen. This year’s selected titles are Paris Was the Place by Susan Conley and After the Eclipse: A Mother’s Murder, a Daughter’s Search by Sarah Perry. We are pleased to welcome Susan Conley to the Library. In addition to her four books, Susan’s writing has appeared in major publications including the New York Times Magazine, the Paris Review, and the Harvard Review—to name a few. Susan is a faculty member of the Stonecoast Writing Program and cofounder of the Telling Room, a creative writing lab for youth in Portland.
This event is free to attend and open to the public. Join the Read ME Facebook group to stay connected with other readers from around the State of Maine. Find copies of the books at the Library or through the Minerva Catalog.
