Teen Advisory Board Log (Word Cloud)

SCARBOROUGH – The Scarborough Public Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) will introduce a new Fan Book Club series to the Library’s Youth programming for ages 10 and up. A Fan Book Club selects a genre or book series and invites “fans” of the books to come together to talk about favorite characters, themes, plot twists – anything that excites readers about the books.

TAB members have selected the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling to launch the club. The first gathering will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm and will continue on the following Tuesdays: February 24, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, & April 14. Fans will discuss one book each week, starting with the first title in the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

On April 14, members will vote on a Harry Potter movie to watch at a finale event scheduled for Tuesday, April 28. Attending each club meeting is not required. Fans are encouraged to come to as many as they can. These are “drop in” events; no pre-registration is needed.
